Before You Travel
Send recent photographs and, crucially, any existing X-rays. A remote quote based on photographs alone is an estimate, not a plan — the definitive plan follows a CT scan or panoramic radiograph taken on arrival.
Disclose medical history honestly: diabetes, blood thinners, bisphosphonates, immunosuppressants, heart valve conditions and smoking all change the plan. A clinic that never asks is not planning.
Day One: Examination Before Anything Else
Clinical examination, panoramic X-ray or CT, periodontal charting, photographs and a shade discussion. Only then a written, itemised treatment plan with materials named by brand — and only then a final price.
If treatment begins before imaging, or if the price quoted from home never changes after the scan, something is wrong. That is the single most reliable signal in dental tourism.

Inside a Veneer or Crown Week
Day 1: examination, imaging, plan, shade selection.
Day 2: preparation, digital scan or impressions, temporaries fitted.
Days 3–4: laboratory fabrication. Rest, not surgery.
Day 5: try-in — shape, shade and bite corrected before anything is cemented.
Days 6–7: final bonding, bite adjustment, photographs, aftercare instructions.
The try-in is the appointment that protects you. It is also the first casualty of a three-day package.
Before You Fly Home
Collect, in writing: your treatment record; implant brand, model and batch number or implant passport; ceramic and abutment materials; all radiographs, digitally; the warranty with its exclusions; and a named contact with response times.
