A hair transplant travel guide: plan three to four nights, from arrival and examination to the return flight.
Planning your medical trip is simple with an all-inclusive package handling every detail.
Airport transfer, hotel, procedure and aftercare over 2–3 days. See flying after and Istanbul guide.
The typical trip for a hair transplant lasts three to four nights: arrival and examination, operation day, first wash with aftercare instruction, then the return flight.
Pause blood thinners, aspirin and alcohol as instructed; reduce smoking. Pack a front-buttoning shirt (nothing over the head), a neck pillow, travel insurance. Settle in writing who your contact is after you return home.
You fly home with a shaved head, crusts and mild swelling – swelling peaks on day 2–4. No heavy hand luggage above the head, headwear only loose and once cleared. See flying after a transplant and aftercare.
Day one begins with a medical examination: donor density and Norwood stage are measured, the hairline drawn and confirmed in the mirror. Only then is the final graft count set. Clarify who operates by name and how many patients are treated the same day. A sound process leaves time for questions and does not push you into a larger session than is medically sensible. See Istanbul guide.
