Why Istanbul is the world capital of dental care.
Istanbul combines expert dentists, modern clinics and exceptional value, making it the top destination for dental tourism.

World-class clinics, all-inclusive package and a vibrant city. See dental tourism guide.
Well-connected airports and easy transfers.
Send recent photographs and any existing radiographs, and disclose your medical history — anticoagulants, bisphosphonates, diabetes, heart valve conditions, smoking. Expect an estimate, never a binding price. The plan follows the CT scan taken on arrival.
Ask for the treating dentist by name and their specialism. Ask whether imaging precedes the price. Those two answers tell you most of what you need to know.
Existing X-rays and any treatment plans. A list of your medications and doses. Your dentist’s contact details. Comfortable clothes for surgery days, and a soft-food shopping list for the first 48 hours.
Do not book non-refundable flights before your plan is confirmed after imaging. Book flexible returns — a single adjustment appointment can move your last day.
Day 1: examination, CT or panoramic radiograph, periodontal charting, photographs, written plan and final price.
Day 2: preparation or surgery. Temporaries fitted.
Days 3–4: laboratory time. Rest. This is not a wasted day; it is the day the ceramics are made.
Day 5: try-in — shape, shade and bite corrected before anything is cemented.
Days 6–7: final bonding or fitting, bite adjustment, photographs, aftercare.
Implant cases stop after surgery and resume 3–6 months later on a second trip. See how long to stay.
Bring your passport and travel insurance details. Tap water is generally not drunk; use bottled water, and follow your surgeon’s rinsing instructions after surgery. Traffic is heavy — allow generous transfer times between hotel and clinic.
Avoid alcohol while taking antibiotics or strong analgesics. Sightseeing on surgery days is a bad idea; plan rest days deliberately. See dental holiday.
Collect in writing: your treatment record; implant brand, model and batch number or implant passport; ceramic and abutment materials; all radiographs digitally; the warranty with exclusions; and a named contact with response times.
Then book your six-monthly review with a local dentist. Without brand and batch data, no dentist at home can order matching components. See the guarantee.
