What All-on-4 Actually Does
All-on-4 restores an entire arch of teeth on four implants. The two posterior implants are placed at an angle, which lets them engage denser bone and avoid the sinus or nerve — often removing the need for grafting.

Same-Day Teeth: What Is Real and What Is Not
A temporary fixed bridge can often be attached on the day of surgery — this is “immediate loading”. It is real, and it is not the finished result. The permanent prosthesis is fitted after osseointegration, typically 3–6 months later.
Clinics promising a permanent, final full arch within a week are either fitting a temporary and calling it final, or ignoring biology. See same-day teeth.
Who Qualifies
A CT scan decides. Adequate bone height and density at the implant sites, healthy soft tissue, controlled general health, and no untreated gum infection. Heavy smokers and patients with uncontrolled diabetes face materially higher failure rates.
Where the upper jaw is severely resorbed, a sinus lift, bone graft or zygomatic implants may be needed. No clinic can responsibly confirm All-on-4 from photographs.
Living With It: Maintenance and Longevity
The prosthesis is cleaned daily beneath the bridge with interdental brushes and a water flosser; it is unscrewed and professionally cleaned at intervals your dentist sets. Neglect leads to peri-implantitis, the main cause of late failure.
