A walkthrough of your appointment day.
On treatment day you have a detailed exam, X-rays, final planning and your procedure under comfortable conditions.

Exam and X-rays, plan confirmation, treatment under anaesthesia, and aftercare instructions.
Modern, painless techniques keep you comfortable.
Examination, a panoramic radiograph or CT, periodontal charting, photographs, and a discussion of shade and shape. Then a written, itemised plan naming materials by brand — and only then a final price.
If a drill starts before this, or if the price you were given at home does not change after the scan, something is wrong. See imaging.
Before anything begins you should hear: what is being done and to which teeth; how much tooth will be removed, in millimetres; what the alternatives are, including the more conservative ones; the specific risks; and what happens if it fails.
A consent form pushed across a desk in a language you do not read is not consent. Ask for it in your language, and ask for time.
Local anaesthetic is given; you feel pressure, not pain. Preparation of teeth for crowns or veneers takes a few hours. Impressions or a digital scan follow. Temporaries are fitted before you leave — you will not walk out with prepared teeth uncovered.
Expect gum tenderness and cold sensitivity for a few days. Expect the temporaries to feel bulky and slightly odd. That is normal, and they are not the final result.
Implant placement takes under an hour per implant. Afterwards: swelling peaking at days two to three, a soft cool diet, cold packs in twenty-minute cycles, no smoking, no straws, no rinsing on day one.
Do not plan sightseeing. Plan a rest day. See implant aftercare.
Before anything is cemented permanently there should be a try-in: restorations placed temporarily so shape, shade, length and bite can be checked and corrected — ideally with the ceramist present.
This appointment is the first thing removed when a case is compressed into three days. If nobody has mentioned a try-in, ask when it is. Its absence is the single clearest sign that you are buying a schedule rather than dentistry.
