There Is No Bad Season, Only a Bad Schedule
Dentistry is performed indoors, in a climate-controlled surgery. Neither the temperature outside nor the season affects the treatment or the healing.
What does affect it is your calendar. The question is not “when is the weather best” but “when can I rest properly, attend every appointment without rushing, and return in 3–6 months if implants are involved?”
Plan Around the Second Trip, Not the First
If implants are part of the plan, book the first trip only when you can realistically return after 3–6 months — and after a bone graft, up to about nine. Choosing a first trip that lands your second trip in a period when you cannot travel is the commonest planning mistake.

Seasonal Practicalities That Do Matter
Summer: Istanbul is hot and busy. Swelling after surgery is less comfortable in heat, and you must avoid sun and strenuous activity while healing.
Winter: quieter and cooler, generally kinder for post-operative recovery, though flight disruption is more likely.
Spring and autumn: mild, and usually the easiest for recovery and for moving around the city.
Ramadan and public holidays affect clinic and laboratory schedules — confirm laboratory availability, because the try-in depends on it.
Do Not Schedule Around a Wedding
Ceramics need time to settle, gums need time to mature, and a bite occasionally needs one more adjustment. Book cosmetic work to finish at least two to three months before any event that matters to you.
If implants are involved, count in months, not weeks. Nothing pushes a clinic into cutting corners faster than a patient with a fixed deadline.
Practical Booking Rules
Book flexible return flights. Allow rest days after surgical stages. Do not plan a long-haul flight immediately after a sinus lift — your surgeon will advise when it is safe to fly. Avoid alcohol while on antibiotics.
Have the diagnosis and any gum treatment done at home first, so your time here is spent on treatment rather than investigation.
