Ideal for a receding hairline — what 2,000 grafts achieve.
A 2,000 grafts hair transplant equals about 4,000–5,000 hairs and typically covers Norwood 2 to early Norwood 3.
A 2,000-graft hair transplant is ideal for restoring a receding hairline or temples (Norwood 2–3).
Mainly the frontal hairline and temples with natural density. See how many grafts you need and 3,000 grafts.
2,000 grafts equal roughly 4,000–5,000 hairs and typically suffice for Norwood 2 to early Norwood 3: rebuilding a receded hairline and filling the temples. It is the most common sensible first session – and the one least often sold, because it earns the least.
The front line frames the face. It shows in every mirror and photo. 2,000 grafts there change the overall impression more than 4,000 on a crown that few people see. Meanwhile reserves remain: only 4,000–8,000 usable grafts exist over a lifetime, and hair loss progresses.
At Norwood 4 or more, a pronounced crown or diffuse thinning, the count is not enough for full coverage. Then a larger session or a staged plan is indicated. See 3,000 grafts and 4,000 grafts.
Donor hair does not grow back. On average 4,000–8,000 usable grafts are available over a lifetime, and only about 40–50% of donor capacity can be safely harvested. Hair loss is progressive: the transplanted hairs stay, the native ones behind them keep falling. Without medical support a gap can form behind the new hairline. Shock loss week 2–6, first growth month 3–4, visible by 8–10 months, final result at 12–18 months. Survival rate about 90–95%; transplanted density 35–45 follicular units per cm² versus 80–100 native.

It is often the smartest first session: the front line has the biggest visual effect and preserves reserves from a lifetime budget of 4,000–8,000 grafts.
The condition is stabilised hair loss – otherwise the gap moves behind the new hairline.
