Volume with your own fat
Facial fat transfer (lipofilling) harvests your own fat by liposuction, processes it and injects it into areas of the face that have lost volume – cheeks, temples, tear trough or the nasolabial region. Because your own tissue is used, the result is natural and can integrate permanently.
What volume loss means
Much of facial ageing is not sagging but volume loss. The face looks hollow and tired. Fat restores this volume – often more naturally than filler, because it feels like your own tissue. With significant sagging it is combined with a lift.
How much fat remains
Some of the transferred fat (often 30–50%) is reabsorbed; the integrated fat then stays permanently. A second session is sometimes sensible to build the result. The final result appears after a few months, once swelling and reabsorption have stabilised.
Procedure and healing
