Full-arch restoration on six implants for extra support and stability.
All-on-6 restores a full arch using six implants, distributing forces for added stability — often chosen when bone allows.

All-on-6 adds two implants for greater support; your dentist advises based on bone and budget. See all implant solutions.
Strong, fixed, natural-looking full-arch teeth that prevent bone loss.
All-on-6 restores a full arch on six implants rather than four. The extra support spreads chewing force over a wider base, shortens the unsupported cantilever at the back of the bridge, and provides redundancy.
Cantilever length is where prosthetic fractures and screw loosening concentrate. Six implants shorten it.
If one implant fails in an All-on-6, the bridge can usually be maintained on the remaining five while the site heals and a replacement integrates. Lose one of four and the prosthesis often has to come out.
Nobody plans for failure. Roughly 3–8% of implants do fail over ten years. Designing for that is not pessimism; it is engineering.
Six implants require adequate bone at six sites. Where the jaw has resorbed, that bone may not exist without grafting or a sinus lift — adding 4–9 months and cost. All-on-4 exists precisely to avoid that by angling the rear implants into denser bone.
So the honest formulation is not “All-on-6 is better”. It is: All-on-6 where the bone allows; All-on-4 where it does not. A CT scan decides, not a price list. See the comparison.
Remaining hopeless teeth are removed, implants placed, and — if primary stability is sufficient — a temporary fixed bridge is fitted the same day, deliberately kept out of heavy bite. You leave with fixed teeth.
The permanent prosthesis follows after 3–6 months of osseointegration, on a second trip. Anyone offering a final, permanent full arch within a week is either mislabelling a temporary or ignoring biology. See same-day teeth.
Clean beneath the bridge daily with interdental brushes and a water flosser. The prosthesis is unscrewed and professionally cleaned at intervals your dentist sets — this is not optional, and it is where full-arch cases are lost.
Implant survival tracks single implants, around 92–97% at ten years. The prosthetic teeth are wearing components and may need refurbishment sooner. See success rates.
